Eco Tours

Inlets, rivers, forests, beaches and a wild ocean.

What more can you want?

Wild rivers run into a fantastic inlet, which pours out into a deep blue sea. A spectacular, rugged coastline with sweeping beaches and massive headlands, all bordered by beautiful thick, green forest.

There’s plenty of fish, unique animals, tons of wildflowers, all sorts of bird life and heaps of history. In the middle of it sits a small country town renowned for its friendliness.

Madfish Charters can take you on an Eco-tour that will give you an overview of all that is to see in this area.

We can take you on a great bird-watching tour, a tour of native flora and fauna sites, or give you a look at some of the sites that highlight our rich indigenous and cultural history.
Wilson Inlet is a large estuary surrounded by gorgeous natural scenery, including fantastic national parks and rivers.

A part of the edge of Wilson Inlet also forms part of the world-famous Bibbulmun Track.

The inlet has a surface area of 48 square kilometres and closes seasonally. It’s 14 km long from east to west, and about 4 km wide. A sand bar isolates the estuary from the Southern Ocean for about half of the year.

And we have reptiles too! There’s the Spotted Brown Snake, and Eastern Tiger Snake can be found here.

It’s a place where, wherever you look, in the forest, underwater, in the air, in the town, there’s something fantastic to see, hear, taste or touch.

You’ve got come see. And the best way to do it is through Madfish Charters.

River Crusies

River cruises are an absolute feature of Madfish Charters.
Three rivers flow into Wilson Inlet, Little River, the Denmark River and Hay River.
Through these rivers you can view some of the most beautiful corners of this classic environment.
The rivers are alive with bird and fish life, bordered by rich vegetation and contain many stories about our current and past cultural heritage.
Some rivers are inaccessible in certain times of the year due to water depth and flow.

Research Charters

Madfish Charters can be used for scientific research tours. The Iona V is a very stable boat capable of taking a research group and a significant amount of equipment to any area of Wilson’s Inlet.
